The need to find and fix the solutions to our own problems has never been greater...
The dramatic shift that is taking place with self service is shown across all aspects of our daily lives. In a move to improve and drive efficiencies and reduce man power we are being asked to self-serve more and more from internet banking to supermarket, we have got the self-help / self-fix bug. Although there is still a need to cater for those that don’t want to or are not willing or can’t engage with technology to find what they are looking for.
With the internet it is so easy to seek out the solutions to our own problems, the only issue is the key word search that prohibit finding the solutions when we don’t know exactly what words to use. If we need help hanging wall paper then a youtube video is perfect. However , if the problem is more complex, the issue is more serious as a key word search is of no use and we need the benefits of a product like Universal Knowledge which actually undertakes a context search so it match both the question and answer without the need to have any of the words matching between question and answer.
